Game Overview:

Stronghold is a castle simulator that immerses players in the process of designing, managing, and defending a medieval castle. Beginning in the 11th century with little more than wooden palisades and hills for defense, players will gradually learn to build and rule their own stronghold. As the game progresses, players will witness the growth of their castle from humble beginnings to grand, sophisticated fortresses. By the end of the campaign, players will possess the knowledge needed to construct the ultimate fortress.

In the early stages, you will establish a settlement from scratch and defend the structures you build. Each settlement requires a well-balanced infrastructure, which includes a steady income, a healthy supply of food and resources, and a satisfied population. As you advance, your defenses will evolve and become more intricate. Initially, you will have limited resources to build only a basic stockade. Over time, you will gain access to advanced techniques, enabling you to construct nearly impenetrable fortifications.

Throughout your journey, you will face numerous challenges. Each territory presents its own unique economic conditions, and you will endure many bloody siege battles before reaching the conclusion of this historical chapter. Only through meticulous castle planning and strategic military tactics can you ensure the kingdom’s safety.
