"Fresh, fun, and feisty, Karen takes nonsense from no one. Her parents own the General Store, and although she loves to cook, her talents in the culinary arts are...questionable, to say the least."
Karen is the headstrong daughter of Jeff and Sasha. She'll help out with running the general store, but for the most part she'll usually leave her dad to run the place. Karen is outgoing, down to earth, and reliable, but she does wish for a bit of romance. Sometimes you'll find her at night on the beach, look out on the ocean.
Schedule: Karen doesn't wander too far from the general store. Most of the time she'll be either in the back room of the store or in the main store area. From 8:00 am to 10:00 pm (excluding Sunday and Tuesday) she sits on the bench outside the store with Rick, and then from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm she'll be at the beach. On sunny Tuesdays she'll be at the Goddess' pond from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, and on rainy Tuesdays she'll go to Gotts' shop instead; in either weather scenario she'll also visit the inn from 7:00 pm (sunny) or 7:30 pm (rainy) until 10:00 pm instead of being at the beach. On Sundays she stays inside the general store until she heads to the inn.
If you marry Karen, she'll start her morning in the farm house. On Tuesday or Sunday she'll stay home all day. If it is any other day of the week, she'll help Jeff with the store from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Karen welcomes you to their store and asks if she can help you find anything. Since you just started your farm, you're bound to need something. There's crop seeds, animal feed, and tools you'll need to grow things. You'll need various things to get started.

Ah, well just wait a moment. Karen heads back to her parents and asks Jeff if it was okay for her to give you a bag of seeds. Jeff is hesitant, but Karen insists. You just arrived in town and everyone should help! Sasha agrees with her daughter and tells Jeff it wouldn't hurt to give one or two bags of seeds. Jeff reluctantly agrees.
Karen returns to you and gives you a Fodder grass sprout. She invites you to come shopping at their store again. Karen says she'll do what she can to support your farm.

You appear to have walked in at a bad time; Sasha and Karen are having a disagreement, with Jeff trying to mediate between the two. A distant relative just had their kid admitted to the hospital and they would like to send some get-well seeds, but they can't decide on which to send. Karen thinks Moondrop Seeds would be better, while Sasha says it should be Pink Cat Flower Seeds. Jeff doesn't mind either way, as he just wants the bickering to stop. They decide that your opinion will be finalize their decision.
Choice 1: Moondrop Flower Seeds (+3000 LP, +20 FP with Jeff, -10 FP with Sasha)
Karen is glad that you agree. Sasha concedes and agrees to go along with Karen's choice.

Karen is disappointed that you feel her mom's choice is the better one. Sasha tells Karen not to hold it against you, as you were chosen to make the decision.

Walk into the store to find Jeff, Sasha, Karen, and Duke. The winemaker has stopped by to let the family know that their wine is ready. When Karen was born, Jeff commissioned Duke to craft a wine in celebration of their daughter's birth. Duke has stopped by to let them know that the wine is ready. They can either pick it up now or let it rest for a bit more. Karen is excited and wants to taste it now rather than later. Jeff asks you to go with her. Karen thinks you may be too busy, but Jeff is concerned that Karen might drop it on the way home.
Choice 1: Let the wine flow. (+3000 LP, +20 FP with Duke, Jeff, and Sasha)
You and Karen go to the Adge Winery with Duke. Karen is excited to see what it tastes like. As you turn to leave, Duke asks that she hold on a minute. He didn't make just one bottle of wine. Apparently, Jeff was so excited about Karen's birth that he commissioned 3 cases of wine! Good thing you came along to help.
Back at store, Karen is tired from carrying all that wine. One person alone would of dropped it for sure. As a reward for your help, Karen gives you a bottle of Karen's Wine.
Choice 2: Sorry, I'm too busy. (-2000 LP, -10 FP with Duke, Jeff, and Sasha)
It can't be help if you're busy. Jeff volunteers to go with Karen instead.

The family walks out of the backroom to greet you. You and Karen start chatting, while Jeff and Sasha watch from a distance. Then they get an idea... Hey, it is great that you stopped by to visit today! They suggest to Karen that you try her latest recipe. Besides, they always eat Karen's food, so it would be good for you to have some too? Karen asks if you would have a meal with her.
Choice 1: Sure. Grub me up. (+3000 LP, +20 FP with Jeff and Sasha)
Her parents are relieved that they don't have to eat Karen's cooked meal. Karen sets the table and shares her... er... blacked meal with you. Something doesn't seem right with it! You unexpectedly pass out.
At the clinic Doctor didn't find anything obvious that would have caused you to faint. Karen believes it must of been because you were so exhausted from farm work. Doctor is not convinced that's the true reason for your sudden sickness. Karen says next time she'll cook you something that will blow away your exhaustion. Oh boy...
Choice 2: Sorry. I like my food edible. (-2000 LP, -10 FP with Jeff and Sasha)
Karen assumes that you wouldn't want to eat it either; who would want to eat her cooking?! Jeff hoped that you would at least take a bite or two, while Sasha begs for your simpathy. Yes, it is for the best that her parents eat the meal. Jeff sheepishly agrees.

Karen is busy stocking the shelves, but she's still glad to see you've come to visit. Karen has a rush of delivery orders though; her parents left and will be back soon, so she wants to get things taken care of while they're gone. Hey, can you help with the deliveries? It'll be tough, but it's her job to do it.
Choice 1: I'm your (boy/girl)friend. Let me help. (+3000 LP)
Karen blushes and admits your words make her sway! One person alone would spend all night making these deliveries, and it's not good to make customers wait. Can she really rely on your power? Well of course!
Choice 2: I'm worried for you. (-2000 LP)
Worried... you don't think she can do it by herself? Ah, that's not what you mean! Karen recognizes that you were genuinely worried about her work load. It might take all night if one person makes the deliveries, and it's not good to make the customers wait. She asks again if you will help. This time you agree.
Together, you and Karen deliver goods to the villagers. After it is over, you look really tired. She's glad that you helped her out though!
Jeff and Sasha notice the two of you outside the shop. Karen scolds her parents for coming back so late. Sasha explains she lost track of time while shopping. Karen tells them that you had to help her finish making the deliveries. Jeff apologizes to you too, but you're okay. Sasha mentions the sight of the two of you in front of the shop makes her happy.

You see Karen looking around for something, so you follow her as she heads to the lake. She finally finds the fluffy rabbit she was looking for and asks if it is hungry. The rabbits alert her that someone is behind her, and she turns around to find you watching her.
She seems embarrassed and tells you that she was just out for a walk! Yea, that's it! The annimals just happened to already be here. You see right through her though! Karen figures you're okay to see her like this, but other people wouldn't understand...
After the rabbits leave, the two of you talk about this incident by the lake. Karen asks that you don't laugh at her. You aren't going to tell the other villagers about this side of her, are you? The others, like Popuri, are such cheery girls and she's not really like that. She's the cool-headed and dependable girl, but she can't help but become gushy when she sees something so cute! Karen just wants to pet it! She doesn't want anyone else in town to know this about her.
Choice 1: You're too self-conscious. (-2000 LP)
Karen's a bit annoyed. She's always been this way and she isn't going to change! Karen asks that you keep this secret between the two of you. As she leaves, Karen wonders if there's a place she can go to pet animals whenever she wants.

Karen wonders why you aren't disappointed, and is glad to know she hasn't ruined her image. She was worried about being spotted, but is glad that it was you that caught her paw-handed. Karen remembers that your farm is always full of animals. If she went into the barns, nobody would see her! She promises not to get in the way of your farm work. Let's go!
