Kratos, a warrior betrayed by the Greek gods, had his life destroyed by deception and being forced to commit evil acts. He gained power from the god Ares, but when he discovered that Ares had caused him to commit acts that destroyed his family, Kratos vowed to seek revenge and overthrow the gods he once served. Throughout this journey, Kratos receives help from various gods and creatures, battling powerful enemies and facing increasing crises, until he ultimately kills Ares and becomes the new god of war.
