Chrono Trigger

In battles, monsters may cast spells or utilize weapons that inflict specific types of damage on your character. Below are the various sources of damage you may encounter:

| Blind |  |
This makes it more difficult to hit your enemy. |
| Chaos |  |
This causes your head to get cloudy. Sometimes you will attack your own party. |
| Lock |  |
This makes it more difficult to hit your enemy. |
| Poison |  |
Slowly decreases your HP and attack power during battle. |
| Sleep |  |
You fall asleep. You can't fight back and your Defense Power goes down. Only when you are hit will you wake up. |
| Slow |  |
This slows down your Battle Gauge speed. |
| Stop |  |
You can't do anything until you are healed by another character. |
| HP Drop | Not really a status ailment (although items that protect your status protect you from this as well), but it's worth mentioning. Your HP gradually and consistantly goes down |
