WALKTHROUGH
The Heroes or Warriors system.
Dragon Throne: Battle of Red Cliffs
The Heroes or Warriors system is not just a unit in battle, but the core that connects RTS, RPG, and management systems. Detailed features include:
1. Recruitment & Classes
The game features over 350 historical and literary figures from the Three Kingdoms era.
- Recruitment: Players can hire wandering generals at the Inn using gold, with costs depending on the general's level and the player's reputation. Building multiple inns increases the variety of available generals.
- Classes: Generals are divided into four main types based on their specialty: Attacking, Defensive, Wizard, and Intelligence, each with different starting stats and growth potential.
2. Progression & Skills
The game incorporates RPG elements through levels and skills:
- Leveling: Generals gain experience (EXP) from battles to increase ranks from level 1 to 9.
- Level 9 milestone: Level 9 is critical, unlocking Passive Health Regen, unavailable in levels 1–8.
- Skills & Mana: Over 40–50 skills are available, consuming mana to cast. Generals earn 2 skill points per level-up to upgrade skills up to level 9. Example skills include Heal, Clone, and Berserk.
3. Governance & Loyalty
Generals play a key role in city management:
- Official Titles: Generals can be assigned to four administrative roles: Public Security, Science Officer, Ritual Officer, and Management Officer.
- Loyalty: A critical stat to prevent defection or surrender. Loyalty increases through rewards such as gold or promotion, which has five levels. Higher-level generals require higher rewards to maintain loyalty.
4. Battlefield Tactics
- Mounted Combat: Generals gain speed and attack power when riding horses; white horses provide the highest speed bonus (+2). If the horse dies, the general continues on foot.
- Supplies: Generals need food and wine to maintain Strength. If it drops to zero, loyalty gradually decreases even if morale is high.
- Revival: Dead generals can be revived at the Temple at a cost according to their level. Revived generals retain their horse if they had one before death.
Players can also use secret codes to manage generals, e.g., {levelup} to increase level or {ineedsuperpower} to grant special powers to the lord and high-level generals.
