Objective Overview:
Mog is a "hidden" character that can be obtained either in the world of balance or the world of ruin. There are a couple of dances that Mog can only learn in the world of balance, such as the water rondo. The dances Mog performs can come very in handy, as there are some very good healing and attack moves he can perform. However, you cannot choose which move Mog performs, only which dance he performs. Also note, once Mog starts performing a Dance, you cannot stop him for the rest of the battle, unless you kill him and revive him. Equipped with a Snow Muffler, Mog can be a very formidable foe, as he will take almost no damage.
Zeppelin's Ultra-Biased, Unfair, Opinionated Overview:
Zeppelin's Rank: 12
Mog is a novelty character. Some of his dances are very powerful, but it seems to me like he never casts any of the good ones. His dances are pretty useful against regular enemies, though by the end of the game they're completely worthless. I would never recommend using a dance against a boss, as any of the moves which half or quarter the enemy's life, which Mog has lots of, will miss. It gets very annoying seeing him do the same move over and over when it keeps missing, but it will happen against a boss, I guarantee it. Put him in a snow muffler and he can be a tank for you, but outside of that he isn't very useful. Though Mog sucks, I don't hate him. I mean, come on, he's Mog!
