In The Walking Dead: No Man's Land, you may encounter Exploding Walkers during your missions. These are former soldiers who carry explosives on their belts and are identified by a grenade icon.
Shooting these walkers triggers a significant explosion that damages everyone within the radius, including both walkers and survivors, even through walls.
Explosions have a chance to ignite any surviving walkers in the vicinity, turning them into burning walkers. Additionally, if there are other exploding walkers in the radius, they can trigger a chain reaction of explosions.
Be aware that explosions also generate threat, so think carefully about whether to trigger an explosion while in Overwatch or not.
