Melvin is incredibly powerful with both weapons and magic. He fought along God's side against the Demon Lord in ages past, and was so well respected that God froze him in a stone so that he could be revived later as the "Great Hero" when his services are needed again. Because of his age, though, he doesn't seem to fit in with modern ideas very well at all, and is considered strange by many.
