เจ้าของเรือเหาะและโรงพนันแห่งเดียวในโลก แบล็คแจ๊ค เป็นคนรักอิสระและชอบการเสี่ยงดวง ในตอนที่พวกล็อกต้องการใช้เรือเหาะเดินทางไปยังอาณาจักรเวกเตอร์ หลังจากได้เห็นความเด็ดเดี่ยวของเซลีสจึงยอมให้ยืมเรือเหาะ และให้การช่วยเหลือนับแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมา คอมมานด์ประจำตัวของเซทเซอร์คือสล็อต (スロット ; Slot) เป็นการสุ่มเล่นสล็อตซึ่งจะให้ผลต่างๆกันไปตามหน้าที่ออกมา

Objective Overview:
Setzer is a compulsive gambler. As such, he hasn't dedicated much of his time to fighting, but he is still a decent all-around character. He is the only character who can yield the attack weapon "cards", some of which have helpful status modifiers or even cast death. His slots ability varies from casting extremely strong spells to healing very small amounts of health to killing off the entire party! But don't worry, the last one is extremely rare. Nonetheless, when you're using Setzer's slots, you might want to think about saving more often. Setzer's magic isn't too great either, but is a useful character to give magic spells too, since he probably won't be your main fighter.

Setzer can be fun to mess around with sometimes, but I rarely, if ever, bring him on an important mission. His slots ability is just too uncertain for me, and none of the attacks he can get are really all that great. He's cast joker death a couple times on me too when it was REALLY important that he didn't, so Setzer and I don't get along too well. His cards are rarely ever useful either, though it is nice to have backrow attackers, since they take half damage. I guess you could say, the bottom line is that I really don't care about this guy one way or another. I have no strong attachments either way, so he usually just sits around the airship.
