Greg
Greg is a local fisherman and one of the caretakers of the Mineral Beach area. He is often found at the dock in the morning, especially during Spring, and is a key character who introduces the fishing system to the player early in the game.
If the player talks to Greg at the dock between 6:00–9:00 AM in Spring and answers that they want to try fishing, he will immediately give the player a Fishing Rod, officially allowing them to start fishing. Later, after the player successfully breeds 50 fish in the fish pond, Greg will visit the farm and reward the player with a Fishing Pole, an advanced rod that can be used to catch Legendary Fish.
Greg especially likes Large Fish, but dislikes Bodigizer and Oil. His birthday is on the 29th of Spring. Overall, Greg is a core character who plays an important role in developing and expanding the fishing system in Harvest Moon: Back to Nature.
